LOW-BACK PAIN is a pressing problem in the Philippines. It’s the number one cause of years lived with disability in the Philippines and has been that way for the last 20 years.
Rehab 2030 Initiative seeks to identify technologies that are helpful for people who are suffering (afflicted). There is an acute need for trained manpower to service the growing global and local needs in the natural, drugless, and non-surgical spheres.
Our Story
When I went to Chiropractic School in 1989, the cost of Chiropractic education was $80,000 and the exchange rate was Php 24 to $1. Today the cost of education is over $200,000 and the exchange rate has more than doubled.
Unless we have a local training program, the number of Filipino Chiropractors will remain to be small. At present, we have less than 15. Until we grow the number of practitioners, Chiropractic care will continue to be inaccessible and inequitable to majority of the Filipinos.
Camara Institute for Chiropractic Sciences (CICS) was conceptualized to be the first Modern Chiropractic Program in the Philippines.
The Neuromuscular program that we have developed is a shorter course to address the needs of Chiropractic Clinics, Rehab Centers, and community health centers.
All of this works together to maximize healthcare outcomes.
